The Nip + Fab Glycolic Acid Range

My skin can be ridiculously oily especially around my t-zone area. It can be tiresome looking for products that are effective on oily skin but don’t break the bank. As a result, I have been using the same skincare products for the past six years. They have been good to me but my skin has become used to them. In the past, I have been quite reluctant to use anything that contains acid on my face. I mean, who wouldn’t be? the word ‘acid’ sounds like a disaster waiting to happen! However, I did some research on the benefits of using acid containing products and was actually surprised by what I had found. One of the main ingredients in the NIP + FAB range is glycolic acid. Glycolic acid exfoliates the skin to help even out your skin tone and refine the skin’s texture. When one of my fave Youtubers Lydia Dinga raved about their range, I knew I had to give them a shot. What better way to keep your skin on its toes than by adding a few new products to the mix!

Glycolic cleansing fix

I noticed a difference in the texture of my skin from the first time I used this product. The cleanser starts off as a gel but as you rub it into your skin it lathers up. I am used to liquid cleansers that are applied with cotton wool so this was a bit of a change for me. Initially, it feels like a thin film but I have adjusted to it. I love the fact that it feels quite light and removes all the oil and make up not removed by micellar water or make up wipes.

Glycolic fix liquid glow

The Glycolic Fix Liquid Glow is a toner that contains a combination of acids (6% glycolic acid, salicylic acid, hyaluronic acid) that claim to deeply cleanse the skin and unclog pores for a more refined skin surface. I would avoid putting this on any broken skin or sensitive areas on the face (such as eyelids and under the eyes) because you will feel a stinging sensation. I learnt that the hard way. However, it has helped to even out my skin tone and lighten some of my acne scars.

Glycolic fix radiance shot

The Glycolic Fix Radiance Shot comes with a dropper that helps to evenly distribute the product. I like to add a few drops of it to my moisturiser as part of my night time routine. It leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth and glowing in the morning.

Glycolic fix overnight purifying gel

My skin is quite prone to acne breakouts especially after a long day of wearing make up. I like to use this product to prevent and minimise any breakouts that may occur overnight. I love the fact that it has a mattifying effect and does not add more grease to my skin. It is better to use the gel after your night time skincare routine to help seal the deal.

Overall, the Nip and Fab glycolic acid range is a relatively affordable range if you are looking for an introduction into glycolic acids. I have oily skin and I have noticed that my skin does not get as oily as it used to throughout the day. The products work better when used in combination with other products from the NIP + FAB range. I love the light citrus scent of the products. If you want to try these products, I recommend purchasing them from Superdrug as they usually have offers on them.
